Some things we saw in Philadelphia today!

On the bridge near 30th Street Station

"The Family" in Center City

Comcast Building

Presbyterian Church

We went down to Penzeys on Germantown Avenue to replenish our spice collection today.  We finished there and headed to Narberth to visit Cloth and Bobbin quilt shop.  After that we went and parked at 30th street station and walked around the city for a bit!

Dinner was Good!

Dinner was good at The Chart House, but we can’t afford to do that trip often! Mike and I split an appetizer of Coconut Crunchy Shrimp. We both had the salad bar. My main course was Cashew Crusted Sole with roasted vegetables. Michael had the Flounder special with artichokes and veggies. All with a nice bottle of wine. For dessert, we finally had the famous Hot Chocolate Lava Cake. It was very good, but very rich!

Yesterday’s Roadtrip

We took a roadtrip to Philly yesterday. We stopped for spices at Penzey’s in Chestnut Hill and found a fabric shop there called Fabrics on the Hill. We then went to Narberth to visit Cloth & Bobbin and stopped at Spool on South Street. We wrapped it up with some great cheesesteaks at Drexel Hill Pizza and headed home before the storm! These are the fabrics I got!

Sampler # 5

It’s been a few days since I blogged, we took an overnight trip to Philadelphia with our friends. We saw some really beautiful and historic sites, including the Betsy Ross house. They had a beautiful antique Double T quilt in Betsy’s bedroom and my friend and I both want to make one now!

I have been working on a challenge quilt the past few days. I also started a new sampler with my online sampler group. I am doing mine in two colors – yellow and blue/green!!! I am not sure how I feel about the color choice I made since teal is my least favorite color!
